About

Hi y’all! I’m Jenny Mae, and around here, food isn’t just what’s for dinner—it’s how we show love, create memories, and turn ordinary days into something special.

I’m 38, born and raised in the rolling hills of Kentucky, where the smell of homemade biscuits, fried apples, and something savory simmering on the stove was just part of growing up. I learned early on that a good recipe doesn’t need to be fancy—it just needs to come from the heart.

I didn’t go to culinary school, but my education came straight from my mama’s kitchen, my granny’s garden, and years of figuring things out one meal at a time. I’ve cooked through tight budgets, picky kids, last-minute guests, and plenty of “uh-oh, I forgot that was in the oven” moments. Through it all, I’ve learned to trust my instincts, roll with the mistakes, and find joy in every dish I create.

The recipes I share here are meant for real folks who want real flavor without the fuss—hearty meals, sweet treats, old-fashioned favorites, and modern spins on the classics. Whether you’re a new cook just getting your bearings or someone who’s been feeding a family for years, I want this space to feel like home.

So pull up a chair, pour a glass of sweet tea, and let’s get cooking. I’m so glad you’re here—and I hope you leave full of ideas, inspiration, and maybe even a new favorite recipe or two.

Love from my kitchen to yours,
Jenny Mae
